im annoyed.....my schedule used to be 7am-4pm. NOW we have been assigned manditory overtime 7am-6PM grrrr and i have to get here at 630 as it is. THIS SUX (but i will get paid) BUT IT STILL SUX

well.....its been forever since i wrote anything in this journal. but, since im bored and having a hard time adjusting to the time change in CHINA i thought i would write to everyone and tell ya'll whats up! Yup, after an 18 hour journey i am now in beijing, china. Anyway, for those of you who dont know, my parents live here and im here for a few weeks to visit and spend christmas. Ive only been here a couple days now, but ive seen some rad stuff. yesterday my mom took me over to the temple of heaven (the imperial sacrificial altar of beijing) and took some pics. Its amazing to actually stand on the same ground where emperors of china actually walked. i think today we are gonna do some shopping and get some more really good deals on designer shit like handbags and shoes. Today's trip sounds a lil sketchy tho.......my moms friend laura said she found a secret shop that sells the stuff, but you have to show pass cards and shit and they take you down alleys and through like 3 shops into the back of this one shop......she thinks its all genuine stuff, otherwise why hide it and go to all the trouble when you are allowed to sell the knockoffs and immitations in the markets. At the very least it will be an adventure!!
Sleeping is kinda hard being here and my eating schedule is all fucked up. ive been waking up at like 5am (3pm in austin) and craving dinner!!! Today i got up at 6 and im just killin time for a while till we go and do some stuff. oh, the funniest thing is going on this morning.......in beijing there is construction all over the city and i guess this morning they are starting a new building close by and they are having an opening ceremony to start the construction or some damn thing. all the workers are lined up in yellow hats, the backhoes have bows on them and there are balloons all over. its the wierdest damn thing, so i took a picture out one of the windows of the apt...hehe.
ill write again later and post some pics of the trip along the way.......latez
